English Teacher

0.6 FTE (3 days per week) - Ongoing Role
Commencing Term 2, 2026

What We Are Seeking

We are seeking a passionate and skilled English educator to join our teaching team and contribute to positive student learning outcomes through high‑quality classroom practice and collaboration with colleagues.

The Role

This is a 0.6 FTE teaching role, delivered over three fixed days: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Please note that these days are not negotiable.

The successful applicant will teach English in Years 7, 9 and 10, along with Library sessions in Years 7 and 8, and contribute to a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

The role focuses on delivering engaging English programs that develop students’ literacy, critical thinking and love of reading, while also supporting information literacy and research skills through the Library program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high‑quality English lessons for Years 7, 9 and 10
  • Teaching Library sessions for Years 7 and 8, supporting reading engagement, research skills and information literacy
  • Developing students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking and critical analysis across a range of texts
  • Using a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the English Faculty and Library to support consistent teaching practices
  • Communicating effectively with students, families and relevant staff regarding student learning and progress
  • Providing reports and feedback as required
  • Attending meetings and occasional school events outside standard hours

About You

Experience or interest in Library teaching, reading programs or information literacy is desirable.

EAL Learning Coordinator

0.6 FTE (3 days per week)
Position of Responsibility — 3-Year Tenure
Commencing Term 2, 2026

What We Are Seeking

We are seeking a passionate and skilled educator to coordinate EAL support across the School and contribute to positive student learning outcomes through targeted intervention and collaboration with teaching staff.

The Role

The EAL Learning Coordinator is a 0.6 FTE role over three days per week and includes an English teaching load alongside a three-year Position of Responsibility. The role plays a key part in identifying and supporting EAL students, advising classroom teachers and contributing to inclusive learning practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating EAL support to enhance student progress and engagement
  • Collaborating with teachers to address the needs of EAL learners
  • Assisting in the development of strategies and resources that support language acquisition
  • Facilitating communication with families and relevant staff
  • Providing reports and updates to the Deputy Principal or Principal as required
  • Attending meetings and occasional school events outside standard hours

A small time allowance and monetary allowance are attached to the Position of Responsibility.

PA to the Head of Junior School

What We Are Seeking

We are seeking a highly organised, professional and proactive Personal Assistant to the Head of Junior School to provide high‑level administrative and operational support within a busy and dynamic school environment.

The Role

The PA to the Head of Junior School is a 0.8 – 1.0 FTE position (to be agreed with the successful applicant), working during school term time only. The role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the Junior School and supporting the Head of Junior School in meeting strategic and operational priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing confidential, high‑level administrative support to the Head of Junior School
  • Managing diaries, correspondence, documentation and meeting preparation
  • Coordinating meetings, events and Junior School activities, including agendas and minutes
  • Acting as a key point of contact for staff, parents and external stakeholders
  • Supporting communication processes within the Junior School
  • Assisting with operational, compliance and reporting requirements
  • Supporting Junior School events and functions, including some out‑of‑hours commitments
  • Contributing to the smooth and professional operation of the Junior School office

You are confident using Microsoft Office and school‑based systems, and experience working in a school or education setting will be highly regarded.

Expressions of Interest - Casual Replacement Teachers and Co-educators

Early Learning Centre

Kilvington Grammar School invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teachers and Co‑educators to join our Casual Replacement (Relief) pool within the Early Learning Centre.

These roles support the ongoing operation of the ELC by providing short‑term and ad‑hoc coverage for staff absences. Opportunities may arise throughout the school year, with hours offered on an as‑needed basis.

About the Roles

Casual Replacement Teachers and Co-educators work collaboratively with the ELC team to ensure continuity of care, learning and supervision. Duties may include:

  • Working collaboratively with permanent staff to maintain routines and expectations
  • Supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and inclusion
