All staff at Kilvington Grammar School are required to complete the School’s Child Safety and Wellbeing training program on an annual basis. The staff onboarding platform contains copies of the School’s Child Safety and Wellbeing Policies which all staff are required to read, accept and comply with.
Employment at the School is subject to the following compliance requirements:
- Applicants for teaching positions must hold registration (or permission to teach) with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- General staff (non-teaching staff, including music tutors) must hold, or be prepared to undergo, a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.

Visual Communication Design Teacher
Part-Time | 0.60 FTE | Commencing Term 1, 2026 | 9-day fortnight | Ongoing Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Visual Communication Design Teacher to join our dynamic Arts faculty from Term 1, 2026.
This is a 0.60 FTE part-time ongoing position, worked across 9 days per fortnight, ideal for a highly creative educator passionate about design, visual storytelling and supporting students to thrive in both junior and senior years.
About the Role
The successful applicant will:
- Teach VCE Visual Communication Design – experience and capacity to deliver a high-quality VCE program is essential.
- Teach Art and Design in Years 7 and 8, and Year 9 Creative Studio (elective).
- Contribute to a vibrant Design learning program that nurtures conceptual thinking, design process, visual communication skills and creative problem-solving.
- Collaborate closely with our Art, Design and Media teams to deliver engaging, contemporary curriculum and project-based learning.
- Bring a passion for empowering students to explore, create and communicate visually.
- An ability to teach Media in the Middle Years would be an advantage.
About You
You will be an educator who:
- Has demonstrated experience teaching VCE Visual Communication Design with confidence and expertise.
- Brings strong skills across Visual Communication, Art and contemporary design practices.
- Has experience or interest in Middle Years creative subjects, including Media (advantageous).
- Is committed to developing confident, creative and skilled young designers.
- Is collaborative, reflective and invested in ongoing professional growth.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Holds (or is eligible for) current VIT registration.

Physical Education and Health Teacher
Full-Time | Ongoing Position | Commencing Term 1, 2026
Kilvington Grammar School is an independent ELC–Year 12 co-educational school in Ormond, known for exceptional student care, a strong sense of community, and a holistic approach to learning. We are seeking an enthusiastic, relational and energetic Physical Education and Health Teacher to join our Sport and PE Faculty from Term 1, 2026.
This full-time ongoing role is ideal for a dynamic educator who is passionate about movement, wellbeing and developing healthy, active young people.
About the Role
The successful applicant will teach:
- Years 7-9 Physical Education
- Year 7-10 Health
- Year 4 and Year 6 Physical Education
- Years 5-12 Sport (including coaching, training and interschool sport commitments)
- Creating high-quality learning experiences grounded in skill development, fitness, teamwork and personal excellence
- Actively supporting and contributing to Kilvington's extensive Sports and Co-curricular programs
- Working collaboratively within a highly committed and collegial PE and Sport team
- Modelling and promoting safe, inclusive and engaging physical activity environments
About You
You will be an educator who:
- Has experience or strong interest in teaching PE and Health across Middle Years and Upper Primary
- Is committed to student wellbeing, participation, skill development and evidence-based practice
- Is a confident communicator who builds positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Brings energy, initiative and a passion for whole-school sport involvement
- Can support and lead teams within the interschool sport program
- Has First Aid and CPR qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Holds (or is eligible for) current VIT registration.
