All staff at Kilvington Grammar School are required to complete the School’s Child Safety and Wellbeing training program on an annual basis. The staff onboarding platform contains copies of the School’s Child Safety and Wellbeing Policies which all staff are required to read, accept and comply with.
Employment at the School is subject to the following compliance requirements:
- Applicants for teaching positions must hold registration (or permission to teach) with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- General staff (non-teaching staff, including music tutors) must hold, or be prepared to undergo, a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.

Head of Physical Education and Health
Full time | Position of Responsibility — 3-Year Tenure | Commencing Term 1, 2026
We are seeking an experienced and future-focused educational leader to oversee our Physical Education and Health programs and contribute strategically to student wellbeing, engagement and whole-school culture.
The Role
The Head of Physical Education and Health is a substantive teaching position with a three-year Position of Responsibility attached. The role provides strategic leadership of the Physical Education and Health faculty, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that foster student wellbeing, physical literacy, skill development and lifelong healthy habits.
Working closely with the Deputy Principal, Head of Teaching and Learning, and the Wellbeing Team, the Head of Physical Education and Health leads curriculum planning, innovative practice, sport and activity offerings, and the integration of evidence-based approaches that enhance physical, social and emotional development. The role includes participation in Curriculum Team meetings and active collaboration with teachers to support effective teaching, assessment and student engagement.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading the strategic development of Physical Education and Health programs in line with school priorities
- Ensuring a cohesive, contemporary curriculum that fosters physical literacy and lifelong wellbeing
- Enhancing participation, engagement and performance across PE, Health and Sport
- Promoting safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Overseeing faculty operations including planning, assessment, resources and co-curricular offerings

Upper Strings Tutor
Casual/Part-time | 4 hours per week | Individual lessons across Primary and Secondary levels
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Upper Strings Tutor to teach individual violin and/or viola lessons across both primary and secondary levels for approximately 4 hours per week.
This appointment is effective Term 1, 2026, and will complement our growing strings program.
About You
- Expertise in violin and/or viola instruction across multiple year levels
- Familiarity with AMEB, ANZCA, and VCE music requirements
- A passion for developing musicianship and ensemble participation
- A positive, collaborative teaching style and excellent communication skills
- VIT registration or a current Working with Children Check

Casual/Part-time | Approx 3-4 hours per week | Includes individual lessons across Primary and Secondary levels
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Double Reeds Tutor (oboe and/or bassoon) to teach individual lessons and support the Year 5 Band Program for approximately 3–4 hours per week.
This appointment is effective Term 1, 2026, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant, supportive, and growing Performing Arts Department.
About You
- Proven experience teaching double reeds to students of varying ages and abilities
- Familiarity with AMEB and VCE music requirements
- Availability to teach on Thursdays in line with the Year 5 Band Program
- A commitment to nurturing musical development and performance confidence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- VIT registration or a current Working with Children Check
